Modular Wheelchair Access Ramps

Measurements Video for Semi-Permanent Modular Wheelchair Access Ramps

Here at The Ramp People we constantly think about how to make life easier for our customers. How to get the correct measurements for the right ramp can be tricky. So, we have created a video with instructions on how to get the right measurements of your door frame so we can ensure that the connection between the modular access ramps and your door fits together smoothly.

We manufacture custom door plates to the measurements you are providing. There are three measurements that we need to know which are quite crucial to us.

A: depth of door (wall to door frame)

B: width of door opening (frame to frame)

C: width of door opening (wall to wall)

In our new video we explain step by step how to get the right measurements.

More information about the correct measurements and door connectors can be found here.

Naturally we are happy to help if you have more questions. Please contact us for a quote and have those measurements ready and we can make sure that you get the perfect ramp for your needs.

This is not the only information we need though. We also have to have an impression of the whole area where you want to modular access ramp to be fitted, such as garden borders, street, steps, manholes etc. So have some images ready to speed up the whole quoting process.

Our modular access systems are both designed to be portable and temporary - therefore they do not need to comply with building regulations (Part M or Part K) - if you require your system to be compliant please get in contact as this something we can provide but the specification needs to be altered. If your ramp needs to be compliant more can be read in another blog here.
