Speed Bumps

All of our speed bumps and speed ramps are made from a 100% recycled solid rubber compound to guarantee longevity and durability. All ramps have an unlimited weight capacity and can support a 30,000kgs articulated lorry. All mid section speed bumps have cats eyes fitted as standard.

Every year 70 people are killed and 2000 more are seriously injured in accidents involving vehicles at work.

Current UK legislation requires any person or company offering car park facilities to conduct a safety audit, and where vehicle speed in any area shared with pedestrians is a manageable risk, speed bumps (or speed retarders, sleeping policemen etc) are acknowledged to be the most effective speed risk management tool.

The Heath & Safety Executive have also stated that where no pavement exists, speed bumps are the ideal way to zone pedestrian walkways in areas shared with vehicles (i.e. car parks, drives & access roads).

The most popular speed bump is the 50mm (2 inch) which can be comfortably crossed at safe speeds below 10mph, we also offer the 75mm (3 inch) for safe speeds up to 5mph.

Both Middle Sections and End Caps are sold as pairs and all prices include VAT and UK Mainland Delivery.
