The Ramp People are now an approved CHAS Contractor

We are very pleased to announce that we are now an approved CHAS contractor – the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme.

The CHAS scheme assess their applications on the following criteria;

  • Health and safety policy statement.
  • Their organisation for health and safety.
  • Their specific health and safety arrangements to a standard acceptable to our buyers and to others.

Being part of this scheme means great things for our business and more importantly, our customers. We can now comply with health and safety laws across many more industries like construction, because we automatically comply with their health and safety standards. By alleviating the duplication of effort and inconsistency of assessments from third parties, we can now provide our plant ramps, cable protectors, modular ramps and van ramps to many more industrial sites across the UK.

Over 140 local authorities and councils are now client members of CHAS which means to work with them and their districts you have to be registered as CHAS compliant.  With our recent approval, we can now reach customers in hundreds of different locations and supply local councils with NHS and Public Sector safety regulations with our wheelchair ramps and access ramps.

This really is a big step forward for The Ramp People and we are very excited to start meeting new clients and taking on more commercial contracts in the months to come.
