Plastic Steps

Plastic mobility steps provide a simple, affordable, slip-resistant platform to help users overcome rises, patio doorways and thresholds. The small steps. are lightweight and easy to move to alternative locations when required, whilst the plastic design makes them easy to maintain. Suitable for users who walk independently or use walking sticks or canes, they can improve stability and confidence when stepping between different levels, helping to reduce the risk of slips and falls.

Product Questions

I require a mobility step. Should I choose a metal or plastic step?
Metal steps are heavier, more robust and available in a wider range of sizes and load capacities, making them a good choice for outdoor use, a wider range of mobility aids and higher-weight users. Selected models are height adjustable and available with handrails for additional support. Fixed options are also available for long-term use. Plastic steps are generally lighter and more affordable, making them ideal if you need a simple solution which you can regularly lift and reposition in alternative locations.
Can plastic half steps be used with a walking frame or rollator walker?
Due to the size of the plastic steps, they cannot be used with walking frames or rollators. For this purpose, we would instead recommend viewing our large or extra-large metal steps.
Are plastic half steps height adjustable?
Some plastic half steps have adjustable feet to help level the step on slightly uneven ground. They are not designed to offer the same range of height adjustment as our adjustable half steps.

Outdoor Plastic Steps for Improved Access

Plastic mobility steps are a practical choice when portability and simplicity are more important than height adjustment. Their lightweight, portable construction makes them easy to reposition around the home or garden, while slip-resistant surfaces provide a more secure footing when stepping up or down.

Key Features of the Plastic Portable Steps

  • Lightweight – Easy to lift and reposition, making them useful around the home, garden or different entrances.
  • Simple to use – Place the step in front of a low doorway, threshold or existing step to create a more manageable transition.
  • Anti-slip surface – Designed to provide secure footing when stepping up or down.
  • Indoor or outdoor use – Weather-resistant with a self-draining surface prevents water from pooling
  • Easy to maintain – Plastic construction is simple to wipe clean and requires minimal maintenance.
