Amazon or Amazon.com was founded in 1994 in Seattle, US by Jeff Bezos. It was one of the first shops available in the Internet. The Amazon is based on the river Amazon in Brazil, as it was exotic and different to the United States and also is the biggest river system on the planet. Those were the visions that Jeff had in mind for his company when he started. In July 1995 the company began its service and the first item sold was a book. Amazon has begun as an online bookstore and in the first two month of business they have sold to all 50 states and to over 45 countries which lead to the sales of $20,000/week. Quite impressive for a new founded company. Now 22 years later Amazon truly is one of the biggest online store and has separate retail websites for the United States, United Kingdom and in 13 more countries. Amazon also offers international shipping to certain other countries for some of its products which makes it basically accessible from all over the world. There are not many products left which cannot be found in Amazon and now you can find most of our stock items there too. In 2015 a study has shown that in 2015 44% of all searches for products have lead directly to Amazon.com which just shows how powerful Amazon really is in the e-commerce world.
