We have recently introduced a new Aluminium Wedge Ramp to our range of pallet truck and container ramps.
This new ramp, which is designed to help you overcome heights of 60mm - 170mm offers a versatile 1000kg capacity. The aluminium loading ramp is perfect for use as a pallet truck loading ramp, trolley ramp, flight case ramp and more. Easily overcome kerbs, enter containers and access buildings.
Portable Loading Ramp
Measure the vertical height from the ground to where the end of the ramp will rest.
Check the total width of the pallet truck and the width of the area you are overcoming, for example the step.
Check the weight of the pallet truck and any weight it will be carrying
Built for commercial use in warehouses, businesses parks, loading bays, event venues, construction sites and more, the portable aluminium wedge ramp has been designed to allow workers to safely load goods over kerbs and steps or into containers. The aluminium ramp offers a smooth gradient for a safe, seamless transition from ground level onto the step and to prevent items bottoming out when climbing the ramp.
The Italian manufactured wedge ramp can be customised to your requirements.
The wedge ramps are not designed for forklifts, for this purpose please instead view a pair of aluminium container ramps or our modular container ramp.

Choosing Between A Wedge Ramp and a Ramp with a Rest-on Connection
- The aluminium wedge ramps simply rest in place in-front of the step or kerb. The ramp does not need to be supported by the step or threshold, this is often beneficial in areas where users do not wish to put the ramps weight on the threshold. It can also offer a smoother transition from the ramp to the step as there is no connection in place. Wedge ramps can only be used at the specific height they have been purchased for so are usually purchased for a specific location.
- Pallet truck loading ramps with a rest on connection can generally be used at a variety of heights and are therefore often chosen where the ramp will be used in a variety of locations across site. The Ramp People's pallet truck ramps with a rest-on connection offer a pre-drilled hole to allow them to be secured in place during loading, perfect for those seeking extra security.

- In workplace settings, a health and safety assessment should be carried out if employees are required to lift ramps. Companies must comply with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations and the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER). Appropriate PPE, including safety boots and gloves, should always be worn when handling ramps.
Custom Solutions

For loading pallet trucks with specifically low clearance we can undertake a CAD simulation to identify and create a solution suitable for your loading needs. Further customisations include adding carry handles to the ramps to make it easier to lift and move, adding or removing safety edges, modifying the width and length and cutting the angle of the foot of the ramp to achieve a smoother gradient.
