Product Questions

What is a wheel chock?
A wheel chock is a wedge-shaped safety device designed to prevent a vehicle from moving when parked if the parking brake fails. They are placed against the vehicle's tyre.
When are wheel chocks required?
Wheel chocks are commonly used when vehicle maintenance is being undertaken, when lorries or trailers are being loaded or unloaded and when vehicles are parked on slopes and inclines. Vehicles, including cars, motorbikes, caravans and lorries all commonly use wheel chocks.
Where should wheel chocks be placed?
Wheel chocks must be placed downhill. For example, when a car is facing downhill, the chocks would be placed in front of the front wheels. When the car is facing uphill, the chocks should be behind the rear wheel.
How do you identify the right wheel chock size for a vehicle?
When selecting a wheel chock, you should consider the size of the tyre, the weight of the vehicle, and where the chock will be used. In general, the height of a wheel chock should be at least one-quarter of the tyre's overall height.

Wheel Chocks for Cars and Vans

Our black rubber wheel chocks are designed for use with trailers, campervans, motorbikes, caravans, pickup trucks, cars, buses and more. The portable rubber chocks are lightweight and non-slip. The wheel chock is placed sloped to increase holding capacity by stopping your vehicle from rolling while parked and add security when performing maintenance, for those parked on a slope, loading/un-loading, or emergency procedures.
