Adjustable Metal Steps

The Ramp People's range of adjustable steel step kits is available with or without handrails and can be configured with 1, 2, or 3 steps and adjusted in height to suit various requirements. Designed for industrial use, the weather resistance steel steps can be used to reduce the distance between the ground and doorway to improve access and safety.     What is a step stool?

    How do you use a step stool safely?

In workplace settings, a risk assessment should be carried out to confirm that the step stool is appropriate for the task at hand. When not in use, the stool should be stored safely to prevent it from becoming a trip hazard.
    What regulations cover step stools in the workplace?
    In the workplace, step stools are covered by the Provision and Use of Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). In line with the regulations, the steps should be suitable for use and maintained in safe working order. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR) and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 is also applicable.
    Do the safety steps need to be used in conjunction with handrails?
    As a general guideline in the UK, handrails are not required on the bottom two steps. This means that when using safety steps, handrails are typically optional. When safety steps are used in a workplace, a risk assessment should always be carried out to determine whether handrails are necessary. This assessment should consider the specific environment, how and where the steps will be used, and any potential hazards that may require additional safety measures.

The highly durable steps offer a 200kg capacity and mesh anti-slip surface. Available to purchase with or without handrails. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

    Fixed Steel Steps - Reusable Design

    Designed to be easily assembled, provided with fixing points to allow the steps to easily be fixed into place. The portable staircase design means the steps can be reused in variety of locations making them perfect for temporary and modular buildings and those undertaking construction works in various locations. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

    Outdoor Metal Steps - Galvanised steps with rubber coated handrails

    Built to last, the adjustable steps are produced from galvanised steel to ensure they are long lasting in all weather conditions. The handrails have a rubber coating for optimum grip and to ensure they can be used safely in cold weathers.
