Portable and Lightweight Aluminium Bridge Ramps
Our Aluminium Bridge Ramps and a Bridge Threshold Ramps are lightweight, portable solutions that allow users with manual wheelchairs or walkers to seamlessly cross thresholds. Simply place the ramp over the threshold and start using it. Please note, these bridging ramps are intended for use where the height is level on both sides of the doorway. Due to their gradient, they are not suitable for mobility scooters or electric wheelchairs.
Threshold Bridge Ramps for Varying Heights
For uneven thresholds, such as uPVC doorways, we recommend exploring our Folding Drive-In Ramps, Butterfly Ramp, or Adjustable Threshold Ramp with Entry Plate. These threshold bridging ramps are designed to accommodate all mobility aids, including wheelchairs, rollators and electric wheelchairs. The design ensures a seamless smooth transition over thresholds. The Folding Drive in Ramp and Adjustable Threshold Ramp with Entry Plate can be left in place, simply flip the internal ramp/entry plate over the doorway when you need to use the ramp.
Bridging Ramps to Protect Your Threshold
One concern many have is that the weight of the mobility scooter or electric wheelchair will damage the uPVC door threshold. We have a number of ramps designed to protect your threshold whilst ensuring users can safely overcome the threshold. The British made Butterfly Ramp offers additional floor grip and doorframe protection to protect your doorway or threshold during use, simply rest in place and start using. You can also use a combination of a rubber ramp and folding wheelchair ramp to overcome thresholds. Simply purchase a rubber ramp slightly higher than your doorway to allow the folding ramp to rest on the rubber ramp and bypass the threshold.
