Container Ramps & Low Level Ramps

Designed for those seeking to load equipment and vehicles into ground-level shipping containers, kerbs or lower heights in the warehouse, these container ramps provide a stable, safe access solution. Designed for commercial use, the loading ramps are designed for forklifts, pallet trucks, cars and plant machinery.

Product Questions

Why are container ramps required?
Forklifts and pallet trucks typically have low ground clearance and are designed for flat surfaces, so they require a ramp to safely overcome height differences, including small heights such as kerbs and level differences in the warehouse. Container ramps provide a controlled incline, enabling safe loading and unloading.
Which container ramps are suitable for forklifts and pallet trucks?
If you wish to load both forklifts and pallet trucks for ground-level containers, we recommend the Rubber Ground Level Shipping Container Ramp. For unloading containers positioned on a lorry or trailer, a Mobile Shipping Container Ramp is the most suitable option.
What is the difference between aluminium and rubber container ramps?
Aluminium container ramps are generally lighter and more portable, with a wider range of heavy-duty solutions available. The aluminium solutions are made in Italy and can be customised. Rubber ramps are generally quieter and cheaper than metal solutions.
How do container ramps stay in place during loading?
This depends on the ramp type. Many aluminium container ramps feature a curved rest and pre-drilled fixing points, allowing them to be secured in place with a pin during use. The wedge ramps simply rest in front of the step or kerb. The mobile shipping container ramps are secured to the container with a chain.

Container Loading Ramps for Forklifts, Pallet Trucks & Vehicles

The Ramp People's container ramps are perfect for allowing forklifts, pallet trucks and other plant machinery to overcome lower heights. For loading and unloading shipping containers from a lorry, we would recommend our adjustable Mobile Shipping Container Ramps. To choose a ramp for a container you will need to know your load height which is the vertical height from the ground to where the ramp will rest and the maximum weight you plan to load and what you are loading, such as a forklift or pallet truck. The aluminium ramps can be customised to your requirements.
