Wheelchair Ramps for Narrow Doorways
At The Ramp People we understand it can often be challenging to find a wheelchair ramp suitable for your doorway or threshold, especially when you have a narrow doorway. Whilst the majority of our wheelchair ramps are around 720mm wide, with wider options available, we have put together details of our narrower wheelchair ramps to allow you to navigate narrow doorways and steps.
Prior to looking for a wheelchair ramp for a narrow doorway you will need to check the height you are going up, for example the vertical height from the ground to the threshold. We recommend also checking if you have an internal height, for example for uPvc doorways there is generally a height inside and outside. Consider whether you plan to use a manual wheelchair, electric wheelchair or both as some ramps are only suitable for manual wheelchairs. You will also need to check the total width of the wheelchair or scooter to ensure it will fit on the ramp and through the doorway.

Rubber Threshold Ramps for Heights up to 200mm

As the ramps are rubber you can simply cut them with a knife or saw to reduce the width to meet your doorways requirements. Built to a smooth gradient these ramps are suitable for all mobility aids including manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters and can be left outside.

Telescopic Wheelchair Ramps
We offer a range of lightweight telescopic wheelchair ramps. Perfect for narrow doorways, each ramp is only around 190mm depending on your chosen ramps. Simply rest on the step, line up your wheels with the wheelchair ramp and start using.
We offer Telescopic Ramps from 4ft to 12ft meaning you can overcome steps, doorways and thresholds of heights up to 600mm.
The compact design makes these the perfect portable ramp to store in the car boot.

RollAble Wheelchair Ramp, 685mm Wide
The 685mm wide RollAble ramp (useable width 640mm) is perfect for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and walkers. This clever portable wheelchair ramp can be used as a straight ramp to overcome steps or as a bridge ramp to go up and over doorways and thresholds. The access ramp is available in any length from 3ft.
Due to the modular design the wheelchair ramp can be extended, or reduced in length when required.
Leave the ramp in place or roll the ramp up for storage and transportation.
Up & Over Folding Channel Ramps
Provided as a pair, these telescopic and folding wheelchair ramps can be used as a straight ramp to overcome steps and doorways or as a bridge ramp to go up and over doorways and thresholds.
Each ramp is only 210mm wide making them perfect for providing wheelchair access through narrow doorways.
