Carbon Fibre Rollators: Effortless Mobility Solutions

Carbon fibre rollators are one of the lightest mobility walkers available, making them ideal for users who need a walking aid that is easy to lift, manoeuvre and transport. Unlike heavier steel or aluminium rollators, carbon fibre models combine strength and durability with a lightweight design, helping users maintain independence both at home and when out and about.

When it comes to walking aids its important to find the right rollator for you. Rollators are designed to make life easy, whether used around the home or out and about. One common issue users face is the weight of the rollator. For many, 1 or 2kg in weight can make a huge difference in their ability to get about safely and easily, especially for those recovering from surgery or suffering from arthritis and joint pain. Whilst many onlookers feel weight would not be important as you simply push the rollator, it is important to consider in many instances users do have to lift the rollator, for example when overcoming kerbs, doorsteps or doorways. A lighter rollator is also often much easier to manoeuvre, for example, when taking turns. In addition, many wish to have a lightweight folding rollator which can easily be lifted and stored in the car boot and taken out and about.

Here at The Ramp People we offer a range of aluminium, steel and carbon fibre rollators to allow users to find the perfect rollator for their needs. We also offer a range of half steps to assist users to overcome steps and doorways. For those using rollators, the extra large half step is recommended.

This does depend on who is using the rollator. The majority of rollators on the market are produced from aluminium or steel. These rollators do work for many however, depending on abilities, some users find them to difficult to manage due to the weight. As carbon fibre is a low destiny material, carbon rollators offer a much lighter solution.

Who benefits from selecting a lightweight carbon fibre rollator?

• Users who struggle lifting heavier walking aids – ideal for lifting into car boots, over kerbs or up small steps.
• Those who travel regularly – lightweight folding designs are easier to transport.
